A very big thank you to Martin who singlehandedly was responsible for tonight’s courses. It was another lovely evening and we all very much enjoyed the challenges that Martin had created for us. Much of the forested area gets nicer every year that we visit and this map now is one of the most challenging of our SummerNav maps. You can all be pleased with yourselves for completing your courses tonight, even though many of us saw a little more of the forest than we should have!
We only have 2 SummerNav events remaining this side of Christmas so make sure you are at Unitec Campus, off Carrington Rd next TUESDAY, 8th December. Entry will be via Gate 4.
If you are wanting a different challenge then come along THIS SUNDAY, 6th December to the last of the forest events this year. It is in Woodhill Forest, entry via Restall Rd, off SH16. It will be signposted from Waimauku. Starts are any time between 10.am and 12.30 with course closure at 2.30. The forest entry gate will be open from 9.00am. There will be 9 different courses to choose from, of varying difficulty and length so there is definitely a course suitable for EVERYONE (the easiest is easier than a SummerNav course 4). To enable us to print the correct number of maps please PRE ENTER by Friday evening (see the details on the website). First time runners in the forest will be given a free entry (if you will be a first timer ignore the payment instructions and send an email to auckoc@hotmail.com to say you are a first timer) Hope to see you in the forest on Sunday
