Can we keep our lucky streak with one more fine night next week for the final SummerNav?? It was a beautiful evening tonight around Panmure Basin. For those there early we were treated to a lovely full basin with fish leaping a metre out of the water. Someone let the plug out though so by the end of the evening the water was a puddle in the middle. We hope you all enjoyed the wee dash around the model railway after you had returned brain dead from some long running legs around the basin. It was once again great to see many new faces (and some returning after many years absence) there tonight. It is a shame the season is coming to an end but there is a very full programme of other events running through the rest of the year.
On Sunday there is a sprint event at Glendowie College with starts from 10-11.30. If you are not a sprinter, don’t be put off. It is just another name for an interesting course around a building complex with courses 3.6, 2.3 and 1.5k to choose from. Please enter via the entry using the link on the AOC website. Electronic timing will be used so if you have an e card make sure you bring it along.
The FINAL SummerNav for the 2022-2023 season will be next WEDNESDAY at Western Springs Reserve, starting from the Zoo end, at the back of the zoo carpark. Make sure you don’t miss this final SummerNav. Unfortunately, the nights are already starting to close in – dusk was upon us by 7.45 tonight so try and get there early so you do not get caught out at the end. We will definitely need to be collecting in the controls by 7.45.
See you on Sunday at Glendowie College and Wednesday at Western Springs!
