Waiatarua was doing a great job tonight – providing us with a place to orienteer and catching much of the excess water that fell on Auckland recently and keeping it from flooding residential areas. We hope you didn’t mind wet shoes but we know that the local frogs loved it if their croaking is a measure of joy. Thank you very much to Susy and David for the courses tonight and the work in getting this event set up. It was a very good turn out - we didn’t have many maps left over.
Next week we head south a bit to Mangere Centre Park, on Robertson Rd, Mangere. Again, a Thursday evening (the 27th). If you haven’t been to this area to orienteer how about you come along and try a new area. The Mangere Centre Park area is interesting, including a model train environment and the longer courses are bound to take you to interesting places in the area.
