A very wet evening to start the 2026 SummerNav season, however, it was great seeing all the true orienteers who came and enjoyed the very wet map. There was water flowing everywhere, many tracks were little rivers. Very many thanks to Sophie, Greg and Bruce for all the work preparing for this event and for putting all the controls out in the pouring rain. It was well worth it when many people expressed their joy in getting out and running in the weather we had today. Sophie’s courses were great and the submerged tracks added to the fun.
Next week we are at Western Springs again on Wednesday (28th). Hopefully the weather will be rather better and those who don’t like rain will be able to join us.
